Sprightly Online provides lively and energetic Paediatric teletherapy Speech pathology services for children under 18 years. 

Focusing on telepractice therapy sessions for rural & remote areas across Australia, with Adelaide metro clients also being welcome to receive telepractice services. Assessment and therapy sessions are completed by teletherapy (eg Zoom).

Melinda’s passion is working with Speech sound disorders, especially complex cases. 

Based in southern Adelaide, a small number of face-to-face appointments are provided at homes, kindergartens and schools within 15 mins from Reynella.

OUR SERVICES

Sprightly Online focuses on providing assessment and therapy for Paediatric Communication: 

  • Speech sound and articulation disorders, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
  • Early Language Development and Play
  • Understanding and Use of Language (receptive and expressive)
  • Phonological awareness skills 
  • Social skills
  • AAC - alternative and augmentative forms of communication

Sprightly Online sees:

  • self-managed and plan-managed NDIS
  • Medicare assisted
  • privately funded clients

Melinda can also provide paid consulting to other professionals including:

  • Supervision/mentoring to qualified Speech Pathologists
  • Assessments and support to Speech Pathologists about complex speech disorders (eg Childhood Apraxia of Speech - CAS)

OUR STAFF

Melinda Hull, owner, Certified Practising Speech Pathologist.

Melinda has special interests in: 

  • Providing telepractice services to rural and regional areas, and metro
  • Speech Sound Disorders, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). 

Graduating at the end of 1999, She has varied Speech Pathology career experiences: 

  • Therapy for children with intellectual disabilities, genetic disorders, cerebral palsy, Autism, ADHD, functional difficulties (unknown causes for their difficulties). 
  • Working within government early intervention (0-5yr) teams in combination with Occupational Therapy (OT), Physiotherapy (PT), Psychology and Dietetics. 
  • Working in a private practice team (OT, SP and admin)
  • In the education system (kindergartens and primary schools)
  • Working with adults in Noarlunga Hospital for 12 months
  • Joining in SA Branch Speech Pathology Australia meetings and events.  
  • Supervisor/Mentor for a Speech Pathologist 
  • Supervising student Speech Pathologist
  • basic training and experience with DIR Floortime.
  • Experience with ReST therapy (https://rest.sydney.edu.au/) and Nuffield. 

Melinda’s community volunteering activity has seen her working with:

  • a Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group as Coordinator for 6 years with a team of leaders
  • School age children
  • teenagers/youth group
  • helping at Parkrun, and being a guide to a vision impaired man so he can enjoy running

As life moves quickly, Melinda’s own 3 children now range from teenagers to adults!

Laura, Administration Assistant for Sprightly Online.  

Laura has significant experience working with administration in an Allied Health setting.

She is also very creative, highly skilled at craft, can play the guitar, sings with a lovely voice quality, and loves learning languages.

She did a course on Gaelic last year and now she has moved to learning Serbian because of her Croatian-Serbian heritage! Laura is mother to a wonderful kindy-aged daughter.
